Department of Film Production

The Department of Film Production aims to foster creators of internationally recognized narrative film works and movie production engineers with advanced expertise and an artistic sensibility. The Department offers seven courses: Directing, Screenwriting, Producing, Cinematography, Art Directing, Sound Designing, and Editing, divisions which correspond to the functional divisions in an international commercial film. Thus by enrolling in the Department of Film Production, students will study a filmmaking process similar to that followed by professionals. The curriculum revolves around actual film production, and students produce several films – chiefly dramas – annually, as practice, from short stories to longer pieces. Production costs are covered as practice expenses, according to the scale of each film. Students also get the opportunity to network in the film world after completing their studies, through experience in professional production settings, in joint production work with overseas educational institutions, and internships.
