Department of Film Production Holds the International Review Session 2017

On March 10th and 11th, the Department of Film Production held the International Review Session with professors from four affiliated universities serving as reviewers. On Day 1, four short films from the summer semester were screened and critiqued. The reviewers provided brutally honest feeeback about technical inadequacies, ideas that didn't come through clearly and alternative approaches, which were extremely valuable for students and faculty alike. On Day 2, two short films from each university were screened with English subtitles. After the screenings, the guest reviewers and our faculty held a panel discussion on cinema production and education. The discussion was stimulating for our students, who were able to learn about about the budget and schedule conditions for the student works from other schools. Students had many questions for the panelists regarding the various approaches to cinema education and production.
